CBN SCOUTS FOR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SUPPLIERS

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has open its doors to medical equipment suppliers who might be prepared to go through prequalification exercise before actual bid.

According to notice on it website, the medical equipment are to be supplied separately to its three diagnostic and treatment centres in Abuja, Enugu and Ibadan.

The prequalification submission deadline is 12noon September 26, 2017 and waxed sealed envelopes boldly marked "Expression of interest for the supply of medical equipment to....." (depending on centre of choice) must be submitted not beyond 12 noon on that day addressed to the Secretary, Major Tenders Committee, 2nd Floor, Wing C, CBN Head office Abuja.

To qualify for the exercise, companies must accompany their expression of interest compulsorily with proof of registration as a company in Nigeria, certified memorandum and articles of association, evidence of payment of 3year tax as when due(reflecting value of projects undertaken in last 3years),compliance certificate from the National Pension Commission and evidence of payment of training contributions to the Industrial Training Fund.

Other compulsory requirements include proof of manufacture of the products or of accreditation as supplier or agent; current annual certificate of registration and retention of the premises used in the practice; and current annual license to practice as pharmaceutical chemists or laboratory scientist of the company.

Optionally, companies are also expected to provide the following to enhance their chances: comprehensive profile, evidence of previous transactions with government, 3 year audited annual accounts and current registered address and phone numbers.

The CBN says only those who scale the prequalificatoon hurdle will be invited to formally bid for the projects and the submitted sealed envelopes will be opened after 12 noon September 26 2017 at the Auditorium on the ground floor at the head office.
