EVENTS MONITOR: TWO IN APRIL
There are two major events related to the Nigerian capital market coming up next month. These are:
FIRST 2016 CAPITAL MARKET COMMITTEE MEETING
The first capital marker committee meeting for this year is being organised by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria on April 13.
According to a notice from SEC Nigeria, it will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos from 10 am.
Attendance will be by invitation only and expected to attend are the following persons:
1. Chief executive officers of all registered capital market firms and professional groups.
2, Chief executive officers of all registered trading platforms and exchanges in Nigeria
3. Representatives and observers from government agencies and other stakeholders and
4. Chairmen of the Senate and House of Representative committee on the capital market.
Bonafide members of the committee will be required to show their membership IDs while others will be strictly by invitation.
SEMINAR ON CAPACITY BUILDING
The Nigerian stock exchange (NSE) is organising a seminar on building African financial markets from April 28 to 29 this year.
According to the NSE it will be hosted in association with the African umbrella body of stock exchanges, ASEA.
Seminar fee is N70,000 or $350 per participant excluding value added tax (VAT).
